So, after I wrote about my strategy I have really gotten into it. I have been to the gym a minimum of 4 times in the last 3 weeks. I have cut down my portion sizes and calories and really focused on the end goal.
To my surprise at weigh in on Monday I only lost 0.5lbs. That was not what I expected. I was aiming for all my post Christmas weight to go. I was stumped!!!!!!!! I have not given up though, I am persevering. Anyway, lo and behold this morning and TOTM is here. Now I know why I had just a 0.5lb loss.
I guess we would just have to see what happens at weigh in on Monday.

6 weeks and counting
Well my first week has been great. I have managed to lose most of the weight I put on over Christmas. Much to my pleasure I went to weigh in yesterday and managed to only show 2lbs gain on the scales.
Strategy for the next 6 weeks
I have upped my exercise so will either go to the gym 2 times a day when possible, by mixing spin, power pump and step classes with jogging and weights. Although I have a gain I have definitely seen a loss in inches (3 inches on my waist and 3 inches on my hips).
Fruit and veg - snacking on fruit and more veg virtually cutting out carbs. Will use Ryvita, brown rice, whole wheat pasta if I need carbs to help with energy levels for my workouts.
Water - minimum 2.5litres a day. With the types of workouts I am doing reaching that target should be doable.
I will be aiming for 2lbs a week until I leave on the 19th February but I will need such a big loss next week to make up for the gain this week. No pressure!!! SIGH!!!
Running
Imagine I got up at 5am, this morning and headed to the gym. I was so energised, I did 5k. Tomorrow I will be doing half of that I will be doing spin at lunchtime. No run on Thursday but am doing power pump and then another 5k on Friday. Over the weekend, I will do some pilates and rest otherwise. I don't want to burn out before my well anticpated holiday.

Happy New Year!!!!!
Well its a new year and a new start. I have 7 weeks til I land in Trinidad. I´ve had a few off days as I had an assignment to submit. But its crunchtime and I have restarted my gym and healthy eating regime to get me there. Today I managed 2 miles even though I have not been running for about 4 weeks :( I´m hoping to build on that in the coming weeks and also incorporat pilates.
Mind you, I also have to get back into the weight watchers frame of mind. It was never lost of Christmas but the amount of carbs sent my body into shock so I have gained. Will go to weigh in on Friday to get a verdict after I undo some of the damage already done. Need to get back to my pre-Christmas weight and lose another 15lbs.
