Day 37....... Update
Not having a good run with this diet. I need to focus. Too many distractions..... birthdays, parties, visiting people so I'm plateauing. I have been stuck on 10lbs for the last 3 weeks.
First priority is my birthday and I want to be at least 20lbs down by then. Thinking I might embarrass myself and post progress pics from now on. I have 4 weeks til my birthday so aiming for 5lbs a week. This is where I am at.
Will post another pic for my birthday.

Day 22..... where is the time going?
Its Day 22 and I'm only 7lbs down! I'm tired but I'm persevering.
My favorite shakes are the banana and blueberry, the latte and chocolate flavored shakes. I really don't think I need to try anymore as I can rotate these sufficiently.
I'm seriously trying with the exercise I'm more tired from running around with my little ones to exercise. I'm walking everywhere with the baby and trying to take my toddler out to the park more. But its a slow process.
So I shall soldier on! At DAY 30, I will do a proper weigh in and measurements!
Stay tuned.

Workout sessions
I'm a cardio person, so I like the zumba, spin and aerobics but I also learnt the importance of toning to my exercise regime. With 2 kids your time is at a premium for a workout so some creative planning is necessary. Exercising around my 5 month old is easy as he quite happily watches me jump up and down and laughs. On the other hand getting time with my "almost" 3 year old is proving to be trickier.
I've taken to trying to get up earlier than both boys to at least get my flat tummy workout session(the schedule was sent to me via a friend on facebook). "Trying" is the operative word as it isn't easy to get up when you have gone through the night with baby waking up for feeds.
Here is my flat tummy workout:

(Workout is compliments Skinny Fiber 90 day challenge via facebook)
Today whilst my toddler is at nursery, baby will be in the pram so I can do my walking workout. (20 min power walk up to the high st.). If all else fails, whilst baby is sleeping I will put in an hour on my wii doing zumba and yoga.
I know this workout schedule is not going to be perfect but at least I know I have something to follow as I'm not in the gym.
Bring on the next 82 days

Day 8
It is taking me sometime to get used to this damn meal replacement. I have not eaten such low calories in over a year so the bad habits (particularly sugar in my tea) is taking longer to get rid off. I'm getting better though!
I spent the latter part of last week baking for friends and family in the hope that this will propel me to a new start up. We will see how this little venture goes (may blog about it too).
I would say that my portion sizes have been drastically reduced and water intake has greatly improved. So a bonus for this diet.
Now I have spent most of today scouring the internet for meal ideas for dinner and snacks. The sample menu on the body by vi website is just that: a sample so does not give much inspiration for preparing meals. I need to structure my day to ensure I eat on time, have stuff prepared and exercise or I am not going to do as well as I would like.
My typical day will allow me to eat every 3 hours and hopefully get my 1hr of exercise too.
7am pre-workout snack - 1 tsp peanut butter
10am shake - blueberry and banana shake (taken from the Vi recipes)
1pm lunch - soup (veg or broth soups) with a salad
4pm snack - apple and 100kcal snack
7pm dinner - chicken or fish with spinach leaves or lettuce
Today I had a later than usual start so I had my blueberry and banana shake, coffee , 1 tsp peanut butter, veggie soup with a salad topped with half a slice salmon, boiled egg, tea, chicken fajita with cabbage, onions and peppers and a choc shake. Didn't get to do any exercise today though.

This is the only way I can ensure that I eat on time particularly when I'm busy running around with the kids. I can take stuff with me. I am prepared when I am out to just be content with a salad or soup and take a snack or 2 with me in my handbag.
Let's see what tomorrow brings.

And here I start...... with success in my sights.
It is amazing that 2 years can go by and so much has changed. I now have 2 children and a very busy life. My newest addition is just 4 months old and between him and my energetic 3 yr old, I have my hands full.
Now many might think I am mad to start a diet at this point but for my sanity and piece of mind I need to shift this baby weight so I am starting again. Oh and Nottinghill Carnival (NHC) is around the corner.
My cousin has coincidentally influenced me to try out the meal replacement program she has been using to drop the weight. Like any meal replacement program the results are amazing over a short period of time. what swayed me is the challenge approach and the fact that the shakes tastes like cake mix. I love cake mix!
So from today I am doing the Body by Vi 90 day challenge. Here is the link to my page: http://Dfevans.bodybyvi.com/challenge
If anyone is inspired enough by my journey you can start this challenge with me and by through my link.
Here I go again....... this one is going to be successful.
