Update Week 7

After being an absolute angel eating wise all week, I blew my 23pts a day out the water on Saturday and Sunday. I am thankful that I collected enough bonus points last week to write off the error of my ways at the weekend. On Saturday I went to a nice little party and danced the night away so that gave me a little extra points to work with.

Needless to say I couldn't muster up the courage to go to weigh in yesterday. I ended up going today. I nearly died when I could not find the place because curiosity was getting the better of me. Well I am happy to report that I lost 1.5lbs this week. that is a total of 9lbs in 7 weeks.

My goal this week is to lose 5lbs to get to my first stone loss. that is a tall task but it does not hurt to at least try. Here's to another great week.

Mini Achievement

So after my disappointment at weigh in yesterday, I decided to stuff my face all of yesterday, then I thought of all the effort and hard work that had gone into the last couple of weeks and the real effort I had to muster up to head to the gym. So I had a light dinner and made up my mind to have a good run and make healthier food choices today.

To make a long story short, I did 3 miles non-stop on that treadmill in 40 minutes. By the time I was finished I was drenched in sweat panting and legs felt weak but I did it. I feel I can take on the world running now (maybe not) but after I get over my sore muscles. I really ache but the feeling of happiness that I could do it is all worth it.

Update!!!! Week 6

I haven't been feeling all that great this week as I'm trying to get over a cold , stick to my exercise routine, eat healthy, get work done and do school assignments. That is one tall order!!! Anyway Monday and Tuesday no exercise (too ill to bother), Wednesday I ventured tot he gym and did spin and Thursday I did a run and some weights. I swear my body was telling me it needs more exercise because by Friday I felt FAT!!!!!! Unfortunately I could not get to the gym on Friday or the rest of the weekend for that matter. Totm came so that just compounds that feeling of bloatedness.

Monday weigh in for week 6 came and I gained a pound. I must say I'm disappointed with that gain but it was not unexpected. Friday and Saturday's activities encompassed long days with food provided so there were lots of treats to have to get energy levels up.

I am determined to have a loss next week. Been having 2ltrs of water, exercising and eating properly so hopefully I'll get back to my losing ways by next weigh in.

Congratulations Obama!!!!

Well I tried to stay up as best as possible to watch the results but sleep took over and woke up this morning to a barrage of texts that Obama won!!! Although I'm not American, I am very proud of Obama and his achievements thus far. Well Done America!!!!!

I am up this morning, thankful for life, happy, proud and motivated. You can achieve anything once you put your mind to it. That is my mantra for today.

The Beginning

Ever since I have been conscious of myself I have been overweight. I have always been the roundest girl out of my group of friends and never being able to fit in the latest styles. When I moved to London my weight ballooned to a whooping 17st (238+lbs) something and that dreaded obese category. I am now almost 3st (42lbs) down from that but I want to be more toned and lose a few more pounds.

I started my Weight Watchers journey about 5 weeks ago in preparation for a holiday in February that involves a skimpy costume. I weighed in at 15st 4lbs (214lbs). I've lost 8.5lbs so far. I have a passion for the gym, well spin and have also picked up the running bug. I am hoping that all these tools would get me to a reasonable goal weight for February and beyond. This will be account of my trials and tribulations during this journey.
